These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Malefic, an iOS application operated by Dakota Labs LLC ("Dakota Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using Malefic, you agree to these Terms.
Malefic is entertainment software. Astrological readings and horror-themed content are creative fiction — not predictions, advice, or scientific analysis of any kind.
Malefic is a horror-themed astrology iOS application featuring 12 original horror signs. It provides daily AI-generated readings, moon phase interpretations, sign compatibility, and more — all through a dark, horror-fiction lens. Some features are free; premium features require an active subscription.
Malefic is rated 17+ on the Apple App Store due to horror-themed content including dark imagery, fictional violence in narrative form, and mature themes. By using Malefic, you confirm that you are 17 years of age or older. We do not knowingly permit use by minors.
Malefic requires a Sign in with Apple account to save your profile and access personalized features. You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple ID. We do not store your Apple ID credentials — authentication is handled entirely by Apple.
Malefic offers a premium subscription that unlocks extended readings, forecasts, personal chart readings, and other features. Subscription details including price and billing period are displayed in the App Store before purchase.
Refunds. All subscription refund requests are handled by Apple per their standard refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Malefic's readings, prophecies, and personalized content are generated using AI language models. This content:

Malefic does not currently support user-generated content. All content within the app is generated by Dakota Labs or via AI on your behalf. You agree not to:
Malefic, its 12 original horror signs, artwork, lore, and all generated content are owned by Dakota Labs LLC. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app for personal entertainment.
You may share screenshots and individual readings on social media. You may not republish, sell, or commercially exploit Malefic's content or design.
Malefic is provided "as is" for entertainment purposes. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of astrological readings or any other content. Astrology is not science. Horror fiction is not prophecy. You knew that.
We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dakota Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Malefic. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total subscription fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Malefic is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. However, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms as a third-party beneficiary. Any questions about App Store purchases should be directed to Apple.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of Malefic after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
